Description
Collaborate with engineers and security professionals to improve secure cross-border money movement, impacting millions of customers. Oversee load balancers, Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB) equipment, Content Delivery Network (CDN) platforms, and troubleshoot client/server issues. Deploy equipment, manage SSL certificate hosting and renewal, and build infrastructure for data centers and cloud environments. Support & manage system availability, and ensure compliance with Information Security standards. Offer on-call support, monitor infrastructure and hosted services, and troubleshoot complex issues. Handle proactive and reactive outages, work with vendors, and take ownership of network incidents, escalations, and root cause analysis. Communicate incident impacts, risks, and mitigation plans to executives, document incident information, and create network engineering documentation and best practices. Implement rapid response protocols for critical infrastructure failures affecting global operations. Lead Edge Engineering design and architecture for on-premises and public cloud migration, and build hybrid connectivity solutions. Architect scalable, secure, and resilient edge infrastructure solutions that support global business requirements. Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for critical edge services. Implement and continually improve operational procedures, systems, and network engineering best practices. Identify opportunities to automate network tasks and improve operational efficiency using various scripting languages. Minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Proven track record in managing large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure environments and strong foundation of networking protocols, SSL, HTTP Framework, and Application Performance Optimization. Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, VPN, firewalls and load balancers and experience with network security best practices and technologies (e.g. firewalls, load balancers, intrusion detection/prevention systems). Ability to make critical decisions during high-pressure incident situations and strong analytical skills with capability to assess complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions. Proficient in one Cloud environment like GCP, AWS or Azure, Load Balancing Technology like F5 and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible and Puppet. Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, Ansible) for network automation. Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g. LogicMonitor, Datadog, Splunk, Catchpoint, Nagios, etc.) Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures. Knowledge of edge computing platforms and serverless technologies. Experience with a CDN vendor like Fastly, Cloudflare etc. (as a nice to have)
