JOB DESCRIPTION

rockITdata is seeking a Senior Consultant / Data Engineer to join our Emerging Solutions team. We specialize in providing strategic insights and transformative solutions to healthcare organizations, including providers, payers, pharmaceutical companies, and biotechnology firms.
The Senior Consultant will play a critical role in driving client success for some of the world’s largest healthcare organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and create complex data visualization dashboards to communicate insights effectively
  • Develop and test data workflows to transform, cleans and structure data for consumption
  • Perform in-depth data analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Apply AI and ML concepts to bring innovation to clients
  • Develop business cases, strategic recommendations, and implementation plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex business challenges and demonstrate subject matter insights
  • Support client engagement from initial discovery through final recommendation and implementation.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have a BA/BS Degree
  • Must have 3+ years’ experience in the data and analytics space
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. Python, R, SQL)
  • Expert-level skills in Talend (or similar) and data visualization platforms (e.g. Qlik, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Strong statistical analysis and predictive modeling capabilities
  • Advanced Excel and database management skills
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong presentation and storytelling abilities
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving expertise
  • Ability to lead project development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with healthcare clients and healthcare-specific data systems and electronic health records (EHR)
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory environments (HIPAA, ACA)
  • Experience in data privacy and security protocols
