Santa Barbara Infrared, Inc. is currently recruiting for the position of Sr. Contracts Specialist. The Sr. Contract Specialist’s primary responsibility will be to administer customer contracts, review and negotiate terms & conditions.   Santa Barbara Infrared, Inc. In doing so, SBIR has become the preferred supplier to major domestic and international manufacturers of commercial and military E-O sensors and systems.   $100,000.00/yr - $150,000./yr. - DOE   M-F (Full-Time, On Site) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Contract management and administration of both government and commercial contracts which includes executing, preparing, administering, and requesting modifications. * Reviews and negotiates customers’ terms and conditions for acceptability/compliance. * Negotiates, prepares, executes, and administers legal agreements such as a Bail Agreement. * Manage assigned Government contracts such as CPFF and FAR flow downs and regulatory compliance * Manage assigned government billings and portals; administer and report small business plans. * Supports import/Export Compliance * Supports Program Management with an emphasis on contract deliverables and schedule. * Maintains current certifications required for commercial and government quotes and contracts. * Reviews and recommends credit approvals for customers utilizing Credit Safe. * Ability to work full time (8/10 preferred) * Acting lead for contract administrators when Supervisor unavailable * Support the remap of the contracts “process” to introduce efficiency.  Design and implement with metrics * Ensure all assigned contracts are processed expeditiously   Qualifications EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 8+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Thorough knowledge of contracts and federal regulations * Leadership experience with a contracts team Due to US Export Control Regulations compliance, eligible candidates MUST be a US citizen, permanent resident or a person who has been granted asylum; proper documentation required.
