Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Design and implement automation control systems, including specifications, documentation, and drawings for high-speed and other automated manufacturing processes. Contribute to all project phases—software configuration, testing, commissioning, installation, and start-up. Lead project execution, overseeing SCADA design, PLC/HMI programming, and on-site system integration. Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and technical support. Diagnose and resolve issues in packaging lines, process systems, and software. Manage multiple responsibilities independently while delivering impactful results that strengthen client and team connections.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Minimum of seven years of experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and custom electrical control panels.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming and industrial automation platforms, particularly Allen-Bradley.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting PanelView interfaces.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, and DH+.
  • Excellent diagnostic skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Packaging or process automation within consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, or food and beverage sectors.
  • Experience with software suites like FactoryTalk and scripting knowledge in Visual Basic, C#, or similar languages.
  • Prior consulting or client-facing engineering experience.
  • Analytical mindset for solving complex technical challenges.
  • Willingness to travel for system commissioning, client meetings, and training sessions.
  • Preferred degree in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering, or related discipline.
