    Our client, a manufacturer with a global presence and over 80 years of success developing innovative products utilized in a plethora of critical industries, is seeking a Sr Controls Engineer to support their product manufacturing operations. This position is a crucial role within the engineering team to optimize equipment and meet manufacturing goals.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant technical discipline with no less than 5 years of experience in a controls focused role supporting electrical design, automation, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment
  • Proficient programming Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLC and human machine interfaces (HMI)
  • Supported the system integration of servo motors, equipment sensors, and vision technologies
  • Design control circuits, load protections, and create electrical drawings for equipment
  • Drive functional specifications for production systems to include the interface between HW and SW
  • Create plant sustainability standards for controls, HW/SW, PLC/HMI, and process oversight

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 7+ years of supporting automated manufacturing processes
  • Supported capital projects involving new installations, equipment upgrades, and new equipment processes
  • Developed electrical schematics and provided oversight for the build of electrical control panels in accordance with NFPA79/NEC/UL508A
  • Partner with both manufacturing, operations, maintenance, and quality engineering to support process improvements
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Strong data analysis using comparison techniques and SPC
