Description:

SR. CONTROLS SOFTWARE ENGINEER – AUBURN HILLS, MI

In this role, you will have the opportunity to become a part of the fastest growing segment in the automation space. As a Controls/IT Software Engineer will be responsible for the engineering design and deployment of software at customer facilities, the building of standard libraries to improve programming efficiency, and the development new software interfaces enabling new product offerings and improvements.

Responsibilities:

YOU WILL BE MAINLY ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments
  • Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities
  • Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects.
  • Utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science preferred
  • Experience in Engineering, Automation, Robotics solutions development
  • Willing to Travel up to 20%
  • Knowledge of FDL, C#, .NET
  • Knowledge of web application development tools (ASP.NET, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, Web Services)
  • Knowledge in WEB Server programming using Node.JS, or similar frameworks
  • Experience with co-development using GitHub/Bitbucket
  • Familiarity with Visual Studio
  • Knowledge of communication protocols with PLCs, SCADAs, MES, Kepware
  • Experience with Rockwell, Siemens, PLC programming preferred
  • Knowledge of SQL Server and database management
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
