We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Cost Accountant to join our team in Paramount, California. In this role, you will play a critical part in analyzing and managing cost structures to ensure optimal financial performance within our manufacturing operations. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to key decision-making processes by delivering insightful cost analysis and recommendations.

• Conduct in-depth studies to evaluate costs associated with business activities, including raw material purchases, inventory management, and labor expenses.
• Analyze the impact of changes in product design, manufacturing methods, raw material selection, and rate schedules on overall costs.
• Assess factors that influence pricing strategies and profitability of products and services, providing actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain standard cost accounting systems to ensure accurate financial reporting and control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on cost analysis findings to support strategic decision-making.
• Monitor and evaluate cost trends in manufacturing operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Provide expertise in cost accounting practices to support financial planning and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all cost accounting activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cost management processes.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of standard cost accounting practices and principles.
• Proficiency in manufacturing cost accounting processes and cost analysis.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for presenting financial insights to stakeholders.
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
