Sr. Cost Accountant

Robert Half’s manufacturing client is seeking an Interim Senior Cost Accountant Consultant to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This onsite engagement is located in Brighton, Michigan and will report directly to the Senior Controller. The Senior Cost Accountant Consultant will be responsible for heavy ERP and cost accounting tasks, understanding job costing, general accounting duties, and closing job costing material and labor hours.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILL SET:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions
• Demonstrable experience in Accounting Functions and Cost Accounting
• Proven expertise in Costing
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Familiarity with financial regulations and industry standards.
