Our client is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant for a 4–6-month project to start immediately. This role is hybrid with in office days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. As the Cost Accountant, you will provide comprehensive financial support to the Operations team, focusing on Manufacturing and Supply Chain activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in cost accounting and variance analysis

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior experience with variance analysis and cost accounting is a must.
Prior experience working with a large ERP such as Oracle, WorkDay, SAP, or JDE
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large sets of data and provide meaningful insights.
Experience with warranty reserve calculations, tooling cost assessments, and freight analysis.
Familiarity with inventory management, cycle counts, and product costing.
Proficient in collaborating across cross-functional teams to drive financial performance.
Proven ability to assist in annual budget preparation and maintain compliance with corporate accounting policies.
Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for operational efficiency and accuracy.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in standard cost accounting and cost analysis methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of variance analysis and its application in operational improvements.
• Familiarity with freight quotes and logistics cost evaluation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively communicate financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
