We’re looking for a talented, highly motivated, and business-oriented Senior Counsel with extensive experience negotiating a variety of complex inbound and outbound agreements to join our Legal team. The Senior Counsel will provide support to Zscaler’s Partners & Alliances, Procurement, Sales, and Business Development teams. Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, Head of Channel & Commercial, you will be responsible for: Drafting and negotiating, Reseller, MSSP, and partnership agreements, as well as creating terms and conditions for channel programs and initiatives Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating Zscaler’s vendor agreements, including SaaS, license agreements (including the use of AI/ML), hardware, data center, cloud services, security addenda, and DPAs Negotiating Zscaler’s customer agreements, including SaaS contracts, security exhibits, and BAAs Collaborating with sales, channel, procurement, and business development teams, providing legal advice and support Creating and updating templates, playbooks, and processes to maintain consistency and efficiency in the legal function What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications) J.D. degree from an accredited U.S. law school and active admission to a State Bar 7–10+ years of experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements, with strong attention to detail and business judgment Extensive background in commercial transactions within technology and SaaS industries Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations (CCPA, GDPR, etc.) with proven experience drafting and negotiating data privacy agreements Experience working with large multinational partners, vendors, and customers Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across legal and non-legal teams Flexibility and eagerness to work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) Experience both in-house at a technology company and at a law firm #LI-Remote #LI-RL2 Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
