We are seeking a Sr CRM Lead to join our Data Solutions practice. This role blends strategy, execution, and team leadership, with a focus on designing and managing best-in-class CRM programs across Klaviyo and HubSpot. The ideal candidate is both a hands-on marketing automation expert and a strategic operator who can guide clients through CRM strategy, workflow design, and campaign execution.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of hands-on CRM experience, with deep expertise in Klaviyo and HubSpot.
  • Proven track record of building and optimizing automations, workflows, and customer lifecycle campaigns (email & SMS).
  • Strong analytical skills with experience reporting on CRM performance metrics such as open rates, CTR, CVR, LTV, and retention.
  • Agency or client-facing experience, with the ability to communicate technical concepts in business terms.
  • Experience managing or mentoring team members is strongly preferred.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Familiarity with other CRM tools (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Attentive, Iterable) is a plus.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the setup, execution, and optimization of workflows, automations, and customer journeys in Klaviyo and HubSpot.
  • Develop segmentation strategies that maximize engagement, retention, and LTV across email and SMS programs.
  • Build, launch, and optimize email campaigns, flows, and post-purchase series, ensuring alignment with client goals and brand voice.
  • Manage A/B testing, deliverability monitoring, and performance analytics to continuously improve CRM programs.
  • Collaborate with creative, data, and media teams to ensure campaigns integrate seamlessly across the full marketing mix.
  • Create CRM reporting frameworks that translate campaign data into clear, actionable insights for clients.
  • Stay ahead of CRM platform updates, privacy regulations, and emerging tools, proactively bringing innovation to clients.

STRATEGIC & LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and mentor junior team members, providing training, guidance, and feedback to grow CRM expertise.
  • Serve as the client-facing lead for CRM projects, building relationships through expertise, transparency, and results.
  • Partner with Grain leadership to scale CRM processes, workflows, and playbooks as the agency grows.
  • Contribute to new business opportunities by developing POVs and participating in pitches related to CRM and lifecycle marketing.
