Summary Invictus is seeking a Senior Data Engineer II to support a large scale, data centric initiative in the Tysons, Virginia area. This role requires an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph and hands on experience designing, ingesting, and operationalizing secure data solutions within classified AWS cloud environments. This is a hands-on engineering role requiring direct involvement in building ETL pipelines, enabling AI and ML workflows, and sustaining secure mission data systems operating at IL6 and higher. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with AI engineers, data scientists, and mission stakeholders to ensure scalable, resilient, and secure data architecture supporting operational decision making. This position is on site in the Tysons, Virginia area and requires an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph. Key Responsibilities Design and ingest data from multiple Object Management Systems supporting mission operations Develop, deploy, and maintain ETL pipelines within classified AWS environments up to IL6+Support operationalization of AI and ML pipelines in production environments Perform data labeling, preparation, and transformation for advanced analytics use cases Design and maintain scalable data architectures aligned to mission security requirements Collaborate with AI teams to enable model deployment and sustainment Troubleshoot data pipeline failures and performance bottlenecks Present technical results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Support identity management system integration aligned to security architecture standards Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph Minimum 7 years of IT experience Strong hands on experience in Data Engineering or ML Engineering Experience with ETL, data labeling, and data preparation workflows Experience with one or more of the following: Cloudera, DataBricks, Snowflake, NiFi, Python, SQL, Kafka Proven experience designing and deploying data solutions in classified AWS IL6+ environments Experience operationalizing AI and ML models in secure production systems Strong understanding of secure cloud data architecture and IL6 constraints Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting AI or ML initiatives in classified environments Experience designing data architectures for high volume or mission critical systems Experience working in highly restricted or compartmented environments Employment Eligibility Invictus Strategy & Solutions is unable to provide sponsorship at this time.
