Responsibilities Role Overview: What You’ll Be Doing We are seeking a Sr. Data Modeler to design, manage, and optimize our business intelligence ecosystem. This role will translate business needs into actionable data insights by building robust data models, reliable pipelines, and intuitive dashboards that tell a clear story for decision-making. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and engineering teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment across the organization. Your Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions) This role is for someone who organizes and manages the company’s data so it can be easily used for analysis and decision-making. This person will: Design, build, and maintain the company’s data systems, including databases, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT pipelines Develop dashboards and visualizations in tools like Power BI that communicate key business metrics and insights Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance, aligning all reporting to defined KPIs Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable data solutions Manage and administer BI tools and platforms, optimizing performance and access controls Identify opportunities to automate and improve data workflows to support operational efficiency Qualifications What You Bring to the Table: Education & Certification Requirements We’re looking for someone who has a unique mix of experience, skills, and passion for what we do: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred) 7+ years of experience architecting and developing business intelligence solutions, ideally in an operational business environment Expertise with ETL tools and BI visualization platforms (Power BI) 5–7 years programming experience in SQL and Python in production environments. Familiarity with Azure ecosystem and exposure to Databricks Knowledge of Microsoft BI tools (T-SQL, Power Query, MDX, DAX) Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams The Extras We Value (Preferred Requirements) While not mandatory, here are some additional things that would make you stand out: Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and big data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop, Data Lake) Exposure to advanced analytics, predictive modeling, or machine learning Familiarity with data governance, quality, and metadata management practices Experience in enabling self-service analytics for business users Knowledge of agile development methodologies and cross-functional teamwork Hands-on experience optimizing ETL processes, building scalable dashboards, and improving BI workflows Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for data deployments Physical Requirements We want to make sure you’re fully equipped for success. The salary for this role ranges from $152,000 to $182,000, depending on a variety of factors. We don’t typically start individuals at the top of the salary range; your place within the range is based on what you bring to the table. Additionally, you may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, which rewards individual and organizational performance.
