We are seeking a highly skilled Data Steward to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for Promoting Data Governance Standards.

SKILLS:

  • Data Analysis

5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or data architecture.

  • Proven experience in handling data access management and auditing.
  • Strong SQL expertise (Oracle, Postgres, Google BigQuery experience is a plus).
  • Strong ETL knowledge and ability to map data flows and collaborate with engineers to maintain data pipelines.
  • Strong data analysis skills using excel, pivots, statistical analysis or other means to derive insights from data sets

Technical Skills

  • Programming and querying: SQL (Expert) and Python (Beginner to Intermediate).
  • Experience with AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines

Soft Skills

  • Excellent customer and stakeholder management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex topics to non-technical members of the business.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
Responsibilities

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Promoting Data Governance Standards: Advocate and socialize global data governance standards and the global data model across teams.

  • Consumer Support: Understand the data asset architecture and guide consumers in locating and accessing high-quality data.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Partner with business stakeholders and master data management specialists to define data management and consolidation rules.
  • ETL Expertise: Map data flows to and from data assets. Act as an expert in Extraction, Transformation, and Load (ETL) processes across diverse data sources and consumers.
  • Data Access and Auditing: Provision access to global datasets and conduct periodic audits to refine access permissions based on evolving business needs.
  • Data Analysis: Explore and analyze data structures to test assumptions and business rules, propose solutions for handling outliers/edge cases, and define joins even when documentation is lacking.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or data architecture.
