Job Description The Database Administrator (DBA) for Oracle / MS SQL is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, performance, security, and integrity of the organization's databases systems. This dual-platform role ensures the availability, stability, and reliability of our databases to support business operations and applications. The DBA possesses a deep understanding of Oracle /MS SQL technologies, strong problem-solving skills, ensures the availability, stability, and reliability of databases to support business operations and applications and best practices. Responsibilities Day-to-day support, administer and monitor Oracle and MS SQL databases across Bosch semiconductor network. Installs and configures databases, monitoring performance, ensuring data consistency, and troubleshooting issues. Design, Build and Run Oracle/MS SQL environments and maintain DB’s performance and availability. Perform Oracle/MS SQL health check, troubleshooting and performance tuning. Migrate and upgrade Oracle/MS SQL database to latest versions, apply patches and security updates. Collaboration with Worldwide DBA team in EMEA and America region. Responsible for providing operational, administer and monitor for Oracle Database Server Further development of System and Operation Concepts for DB-Server and Infrastructure components and manufacturing applications. System administration of Oracle Database servers with RAC/ASM/Grid-Infrastructure. Management of High-Availability configurations and solutions. Perform Oracle Database proactive and reactive complex problem analysis (Performance/Capacity), troubleshooting and tracking with vendor (Oracle), evaluate, propose and implement resolution Support internal and external audit of Oracle Database Server. Work closely with other infrastructure service owner and technical operations team to ensure delivery of database services within the SLA's and performance targets. Monitor DBs analyze errors and adjust configurations if necessary. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent 5 – 7 years professional working experience as an administrator for Oracle/MS SQL, Hadoop clusters. Experience with Oracle products, Grid/Cloud Control, RAC, ASM, Hadoop, gethue Experience with RedHat Linux and Veritas Cluster, Volume Manager, SAN storage and TSM backup High initiative, team player, target-oriented, able to work independently and work well in diversity environment Strong technical documentation, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills. Experience on IT Service Management tool (Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management and Asset Management) based on ITIL methodology Able to participate in 24x7 on-call support Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or equivalent.
