We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Engineer to join our growing team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure database systems that support our mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in database architecture, performance tuning, and data security, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in database engineering or administration.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, normalization, and indexing strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and database services.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Certifications in database technologies or cloud platforms.
  • Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools.
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
