The Senior Database Engineer will act as a mentor while collaborating with delivery teams to drive technology advancements. Develop automated processes using SQL, PowerShell, and Infrastructure-as-Code to streamline operations. Deliver impactful solutions using SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and Azure Data Factory. Enhance CI/CD practices for database artifacts and ensure smooth deployments. Monitor and optimize database performance using SQL Server Profiler and Query Store. Provide expert support for complex issues affecting system performance. Mentor junior engineers and guide delivery teams in best practices. Collaborate with architects to define technology roadmaps and drive innovation. Identify and implement opportunities for system performance improvements. Foster collaboration and share knowledge with the engineering community. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a related technical or business discipline or equivalent work experience. Minimum 5 years of experience as a database engineer with at least 2 years in CI/CD. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2019 and newer) and high availability strategies. Proficiency in T-SQL development and performance tuning. Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across various database tools and RDBMS. Experience with Cloud Platforms and automation using PowerShell. Familiarity with advanced SQL language concepts and Oracle databases is a plus. Experience in working with large datasets and data warehousing. Hands-on experience with monitoring and performance tools.
