Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of engineering plans for large-scale industrial projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements and specifications.
  • Develop and review detailed design documents, blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings, ensuring compliance with industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, procurement, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design specifications into the overall project workflow.
  • Provide technical expertise and solutions for complex engineering challenges, including mechanical, electrical, and structural systems design.
  • Conduct design reviews and feasibility assessments to identify potential risks and propose value engineering solutions.
  • Lead design coordination meetings, ensuring that all team members are aligned on project goals and that any design conflicts are resolved promptly.
  • Supervise the work of junior design engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and quality control for all design outputs.
  • Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that all design inputs are accurate, feasible, and within budget.
  • Oversee the implementation of design modifications, ensuring that changes are properly documented and communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements throughout the design process.
  • Maintain project documentation, including design specifications, technical reports, and design change requests, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
  • Support the project team during the construction phase, providing design clarifications and addressing engineering challenges that arise on-site.
