Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Design & Estimation Engineer to lead the design, cost estimation, and project planning efforts for fire protection systems. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in fire protection standards, advanced engineering solutions, and project cost management to deliver innovative and cost-effective designs that meet client requirements and regulatory compliance.

  • Design and Drafting:
  • Develop detailed designs for fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and suppression systems, using CAD and other design tools.
  • Ensure designs comply with local and international standards such as NFPA, UL, FM, and relevant building codes.
  • Conduct hydraulic calculations and analyze system performance to optimize design efficiency.
  • Cost Estimation:
  • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for fire protection projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Analyze project specifications and drawings to identify cost-impacting factors.
  • Coordinate with vendors to obtain competitive pricing and manage supplier relationships.
  • Project Coordination:
  • Collaborate with sales, project managers, and clients to define project scope and requirements.
  • Provide technical support during the proposal and negotiation phases.
  • Assist in developing project schedules, risk assessments, and resource allocation plans.
  • Compliance and Quality Control:
  • Ensure designs and estimates adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct design reviews, site surveys, and inspections to validate compliance and performance.
  • Document and maintain design records and estimation reports.
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship:
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in design and estimation.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in complex project scenarios.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fire Engineering (or related field).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NICET, CFPS) are a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in the fire protection industry, with a focus on design and estimation.
  • Proficiency in fire protection system design and cost estimation tools.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.
