POSITION SUMMARY

You will apply engineering principles to oil & gas product and services to assist in the development of new technologies and to ensure existing technologies are used appropriately. The primary responsibilities are to provide technical support to operations, customers, and sales team, while contributing to the projects within the Innovation and Design team and providing additional technical support to other departments including IT, Procurement, Production, Marketing, and Quality. You will bring a collaborative approach to help drive sales, increase company innovation, and maintain a high level of operational execution. You will have broad strategic thinking abilities, a drive for results, coupled with excellent leadership skills to help the company define its competitive advantages and target to succeed in the oil & gas industry.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Successful candidate will be a Professional Engineer (P. Eng. Or P.E.)
  • Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Degree.
  • Minimum 5+ years experience.
  • Experience with pressure vessel codes and design is a must
  • EPCM background with Gas Processing is ideal
  • Experience with CFD simulations using OpenFOAM or other software is an asset
  • Process design experience including process mass balances, process flow diagrams and process support services is preferred
  • Systems design experience including piping and instrument diagrams, cause and effect diagrams, hazard and operability design reviews and systems support services is preferred
  • Proficiency with Engineering standards and codes (API, ASME, NACE, ABSA).
  • Strategic thinker with problem solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Self-management and a demonstrated ability to multi-task.
  • Collaborative team player with mindset to continually improve processes and results.
  • Can adapt to change as needed.
