REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years of experience in Information Technology, ideally in the Financial Services industry.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud, Kubernetes (K8s), and PaaS solutions.
• Proficiency in DevOps tools and technologies: GIT, Jenkins, Docker, Nexus/Artifactory, CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of Java-based software development and supporting large codebases with stringent review processes.
• In-depth knowledge of data integration techniques, web services (REST, Web API, ESB), and messaging-based systems.
• Expertise in infrastructure-as-code principles and tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience designing and managing highly available and distributed enterprise platforms.
• Familiarity with secrets management (HashiCorp Vault), security practices, and vulnerability remediation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to drive change and influence teams.
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of owning projects end-to-end.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking experienced DevOps Engineers to join our team in Chicago for a 6-month onsite engagement. This is a high-priority requirement for professionals who can design, implement, and maintain complex cloud-based infrastructure and deployment systems. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of cloud expertise, automation skills, Java development background, and experience working in large-scale enterprise environments, preferably within the Financial Services industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, PaaS) using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for software builds, testing, integration, and deployments.
• Automate application deployments to Kubernetes or EC2 environments using Jenkins, Harness, Helm Charts, and other tools.
• Implement secure secrets and configuration management practices using HashiCorp Vault.
• Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline failures, container build issues, and security vulnerabilities.
• Provide observability support, including monitoring, logging, alerting, and FinOps tagging practices.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications and services, supporting enterprise-grade, large-scale systems.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions, create playbooks/runbooks, and enable self-service operational support.
• Deliver solutions aligned with microservices, SOA, and event-driven architectures.
• Support ongoing development efforts by implementing enterprise tools, AWS-managed services, and best practices.
