About the Photo Team In this role, you will work closely with a passionate and collaborative group of creatives. Our goal is to improve the overall look and feel of our website and enhance the online customer experience. Overview of the Senior Digital Retoucher Role As part of the Williams Sonoma creative team, you will bring your skills and expertise to find retouching solutions that are right for the brand image. You’ll be responsible for making various adjustments to a large volume of images – product retouching, swatch/sample matching, replacing backgrounds, maintaining or adjusting lighting and mood, etc. Your eye for color, organizational skills and attention to detail will combine to create compelling imagery and enhance the overall aesthetic for all marketing channels for both Williams Sonoma and Williams Sonoma Home. Responsibilities Using Adobe Photoshop and Bridge, perform complex image work to accurately match product swatches and samples, balance mood and lighting across large image sets shot by multiple teams in varied settings, and combine exposures or replace environments and backgrounds as needed. Compensate for damaged or incorrect product samples (ie: removing scratches and dents, cloning missing hardware, adjusting/swapping fabric colors to match swatches, etc.). Reference provided Brand Style Guides to ensure backgrounds, lighting and overall image quality are consistent. Ensure color consistency across product collections. Receive creative direction from Photographer, Studio Manager, Sr Color Manager and Creative Director, and implement any changes necessary. Utilize Adobe Workfront for task management, updates and quality control processes. Prioritize and balance workload for team. Communicate daily with Sr Color Manager on task and project statuses. Evaluate current tools, standards and practices against industry benchmarks, recommending updates to ensure alignment, improve efficiency, and stay current. Maintain digital asset file organization, naming conventions, color space, crop, file size and other technical specifications. Production of consistent, quality results in a timely manner. Maintain a high volume of image output daily, and within rigorous deadlines. On-set quality assurance and color expert as needed. Transport materials and equipment and lift, move, and carry objects up to 50 pounds on a limited basis. Criteria Expert with Photoshop on MacOS, proficient with all other Adobe Creative Cloud products. Highly proficient in all aspects of digital image quality control and output. File size, light, color balance, and retouching. 5+ years of experience in high-volume retouching in studio setting or in-house creative department, focusing on food, high-end furnishings or luxury goods required. Experience with Adobe Workfront, Airtable or similar workflow tools a strong plus. Practical experience with generative AI a strong plus. Familiarity with all studio tools, lighting, technical software and systems. Understanding of color management workflows and catalog pre-press experience a plus. Bachelor's degree in photography, graphic design, fine arts or related field preferred; portfolio with before-after examples. Experience communicating clearly and effectively with diverse personalities and communication styles in a fast-paced environment Self-sufficient and reliable. Comfortable managing multiple deliverables concurrently. Ability to perform work full-time, onsite in the Richmond office. The expected starting pay range for this position is $86,400 - $101,500. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets.
