SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Strong expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence frameworks

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent knowledge is required
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA or MS in a technical field) is preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business operations, process improvement, or strategy roles in an industrial or engineering services setting
  • Formal training or certification in Lean, Six Sigma (Black Belt or higher), or similar methodology is preferred
  • Proven experience leading global improvement or transformation projects in a matrixed environment

Responsibilities

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Senior Director of Business Improvement is responsible for leading and executing strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, drive continuous improvement, and optimize business performance across IGS. This role is cross-functional and global in scope, focusing on process excellence, standardization, change management, and organizational capability building.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage business improvement initiatives that deliver measurable value in cost reduction, process efficiency, and performance improvement
  • Define, implement, and maintain a company-wide continuous improvement framework and governance model
  • Partner with global teams and senior leaders to identify, prioritize, and execute business process enhancements and transformational projects
  • Develop and manage performance metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor improvement progress and impact
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops and Kaizen events to solve complex business problems using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
  • Support digital transformation by aligning technology projects with operational process improvements
  • Act as an internal consultant to drive organizational learning, providing tools and training to ensure sustainable adoption of new ways of working
  • Standardize processes and promote best practices across global teams, product lines, and business units
  • Mentor and develop internal talent to build a culture of continuous improvement at all levels of the organization
  • Drive Quality Management to reduce operational risk and enhance customer satisfaction.
