THE TEAM:
You will join our DTS organization, a fast-paced, energetic, and high performing team at the heart of S&P Global. DTS provide services across a broad range of technical disciplines and leverages investment in world class technologies in support of S&P Global’s products and clients.
The Product Enablement and Assurance team in DTS is a dynamic team dedicated to driving value across S&P Global. We provide key services across multiple dimensions, including Technology M&A, Digital Solutions Technology Governance, FinOps, Enterprise Data Governance, DTS Risk Assurance, Vendor Management, Enterprise Architecture, and Data Driven Decisions. Our mission is to empower DTS product teams to innovate fearlessly by providing the necessary guardrails, expertise, and support. We ensure that product teams can navigate M&A, governance, risk, compliance, financial operations, and architecture effectively. BASIC REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Comfortable at all levels of an organization with the ability to communicate clearly
A minimum of 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience
Experience leading architecture across various domains, infrastructure preferred
A deep and fundamental technology heritage that will gain the respect of the top technologists within S&P Global
Ability to produce clear, concise, relevant, and accurate recommendations based on information gathered from a variety of stakeholders and subject matter experts
Experience acting as a change agent, driving continuous improvement and excellence
Experience leading large, transformational, multi-year programs within a complex, matrix environment
Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-changing, and innovative environment
Demonstrates the ability to employ judgement and experience to make rapid, complex decisions
Ability to influence others, earn followership, and drive consensus across different stakeholder groups
The ability to flex styles of work well with a range of personalities from extremely technical to non-technical business leaders
Empathetic and effective change agent
Take ownership, acting with accountability and urgency
Ability to think strategically, and write vision documents, briefings that demonstrate excellent communication skills and executive presence for S&P executives and divisional partners
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong understanding of HA/DR technologies
Cloud Associate or Professional Architect with at least one year of practical design or implementation. Azure, GCP or AWS is desirable
Strong budgeting and financial control skills
Experience with M&A integration / divestiture processes
On-going awareness of infrastructure developments in the IT industry
Strong analytical and solutions design and architecture skills
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Will need to work within a global environment and communicate clearly with teams in different geographic regions.
Must be able to work in a team environment where influencing and motivational skills are paramount
Ability to influence others, earn followership, and drive consensus across different stakeholder groups

ABOUT THE ROLE:
For the role of Sr. Director, Architecture & M&A , we are seeking an experienced thought leader who brings the right mix of technical acumen and passion for leading highly visible and complex projects/initiatives.
This individual will be recognized as a technology leader, having the unique opportunity to lead:
Our Technology M&A team on strategic mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
Lead Technology Governance and Architecture with a mix of enterprise architecture and solutions architecture
RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
Collaborate with product and technology leaders across S&P Global to understand their priorities and strategy
Build and manage a high performing team, adapting your management style by individual
Build a M&A Services Team that provides a predictable and repeatable process for integrating acquisitions to merge into the S&P Global environment; This team oversees and contributes to the tasks required to both divest a business, integrate a business or transition a business into a joint venture.
Ensure the M&A acquisition process is highly efficient and follows S&P Global’s technology and security standards
Provide overall technical leadership surrounding integration and divestiture estimates and synergies
Be a thought leader who can produce clear, concise, relevant, and accurate technical architectural recommendations based on information gathered from a variety of stakeholders and SMEs
Ability to document as is and to be enterprise architectures
Be intimately aware of and help drive S&P Global’s technology strategy
Provide strategic and architecture guidance to senior management, business technology project teams and functional organizations
Thought leader who provides strategic direction during team meetings and executive workshops
Build out an architecture function to support the right level of architectural governance, enablement and strategic thinking to support common capabilities, technology standards, patterns, and solutions architecture enablement.
Architect governance processes to ensure we know what capabilities we are tolerating, investing in, migrating, or eliminating.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $155,000 to $265,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
