Description

Overview:
The Sr. Director of Business Development is responsible for the development of new business contacts, managing and maintaining existing customer relations, contacts, and sales in the power generation market, with specific focus on Behind the Meter Power (BTM) and Data Center industrial markets.
Location: This is a remote position, which can be based anywhere in the U.S. This position supports our business across the United States. This position will have up to 50% travel to regional office locations. This role is eligible for an annual incentive plan and vehicle allowance.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS/BA degree in Marketing, Construction Management, Engineering or a Business-related field
  • Ten (10) years in direct marketing/sales of construction-related services preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.
  • When on-site, actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors.
  • Set a personal example of safe behavior.
  • Possess strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Work well under pressure, and ability to meet timelines and deadlines
  • Work well independently
  • Maintain a positive attitude while working with MIC team members and customers.
  • Read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents
  • Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community
  • Effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors
  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
