Summary We are seeking a multifaceted technology leader who blends deep technical breadth with strong product intuition and an ability to execute. This role spans product strategy, enterprise architecture, hands-on software development, and internal systems optimization. The ideal candidate is an experienced individual contributor who thrives in complex, multi-brand environments and can independently drive initiatives from concept to production. You will partner with business, engineering, and operations leaders to shape our technology landscape—designing scalable architectures, building high-impact solutions, and guiding teams to deliver durable, customer-centric outcomes. This is a role for a builder, strategist, and trusted technical advisor who is equally comfortable defining long-term direction and rolling up their sleeves to make it real. Responsibilities Architectural Leadership * Define and champion long-term architectural direction across applications, integrations, and data platforms. * Design scalable, secure, and resilient systems using cloud-native, event-driven, and modern application patterns. * Evaluate technical trade-offs and guide teams toward solutions that balance innovation, maintainability, and business value. Product Strategy & Requirements Leadership * Partner with business and product teams to uncover problems, define outcomes, and translate them into actionable technical plans. * Shape technology roadmaps by validating feasibility, identifying dependencies, and influencing prioritization across brands and stakeholders. * Facilitate discovery sessions and convert ambiguous concepts into clear technical requirements and sequenced execution paths. Hands-on Engineering & Solution Delivery * Build and maintain web applications, APIs, integrations, and internal tools across multiple technology stacks. * Configure and extend enterprise and third-party platforms; implement automation and workflow improvements where appropriate. * Develop analytics solutions including PowerBI dashboards, data models, and enhancements to our Data Warehouse environment. Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration * Serve as a trusted technical advisor across engineering, product, operations, and IT. * Drive alignment on technical decisions, architecture reviews, and system implementations. * Mentor technical staff and contribute to elevating engineering practices across teams. Innovation & Rapid Experimentation * Prototype new concepts to validate ideas and accelerate decision-making. * Assess emerging technologies, including AI/ML, automation, and new cloud services, and recommend strategic adoption paths. * Identify opportunities for modernization and simplification across systems. Governance, Standards & Technical Stewardship * Establish architectural standards, coding best practices, and integration patterns for use across teams. * Improve system reliability and long-term sustainability by guiding teams in managing technical debt. * Ensure compliance with security, data governance, and technology policies. Requirements * 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a track record of owning complex, multi-system initiatives from design through implementation. * 5+ years in a technical leadership or architecture role, influencing direction across teams or business units. * Demonstrated ability to define and evolve enterprise architecture, including application, integration, and data layers. * Strong proficiency with multiple programming ecosystems (e.g., Python, Java, or C#)  and full-stack development.  * Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including architecture patterns, managed services, and cloud security principles. * Experience designing event-driven architectures, microservices, APIs, and integration patterns for distributed systems. * Practical experience with data modeling, pipelines, BI/reporting tools (PowerBI preferred), and data warehouse design. * Ability to work across ambiguous problem spaces, turning loosely defined business needs into clear technical requirements. * Strong stakeholder skills: facilitation and demonstrated ability to influence without authority.Ability to operate as both a strategic architect and hands-on contributor, context switching as priorities shift. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to socialize architectural decisions and rationale. Ability to translate and engage technical and non-technical audiences. Preferred Skills * Background in Product Management, Business Analysis, or Technical Program Management, especially in multi-brand or franchise environments. * Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms, workflow engines, or low-code/no-code tools (e.g., Airtable, Zapier, Make, Workato). * Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, including LLM integration patterns, vector databases, or ML-driven automation. * Experience guiding governance frameworks, including security reviews, data governance, and architectural oversight. * Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud-native deployment workflows. * Experience modernizing legacy systems or leading large-scale refactoring/platform consolidation efforts. * Knowledge of service observability (metrics, logs, tracing), performance tuning, and reliability engineering practices. * Experience working in fast-paced or high-growth environments, especially with decentralized or cross-functional organizational structures.
