We are looking for an experienced Sr. Director of Accounting to oversee and enhance financial operations in our organization. Based in Secaucus, New Jersey, this role involves managing critical accounting functions, ensuring compliance, and driving efficiency in financial reporting processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting leader to provide strategic leadership in a dynamic retail environment.

• Lead and manage the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Coordinate and manage financial statement audits, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to maintain operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and support for financial decision-making.
• Ensure the integrity of financial data by maintaining robust internal controls.
• Monitor and analyze key financial metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide strategic guidance to the accounting team, fostering growth and development.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the company remains compliant.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting department.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
• Extensive experience in managing month-end close processes.
• Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and audits.
• Proven expertise in financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.
• Up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and industry practices.
