Description
Nium, the Leader in Real-Time Global Payments Nium, the leading global infrastructure for real-time cross-border payments, was founded on the mission to deliver the global payments infrastructure of tomorrow, today. With the onset of the global economy, its payments infrastructure is shaping how banks, fintechs, and businesses everywhere collect, convert, and disburse funds instantly across borders. Its payout network supports 100 currencies and spans 190+ countries, 100 of which in real-time. Funds can be disbursed to accounts, wallets, and cards and collected locally in 40 markets. Nium's growing card issuance business is already available in 34 countries. Nium holds regulatory licenses and authorizations in more than 40 countries, enabling seamless onboarding, rapid integration, and compliance – independent of geography. The company is co-headquartered in San Francisco and Singapore. About the role Nium operates one of the most extensive real-time payment networks in the world — supporting pay-ins, payouts, FX, and collections across 190+ countries and 100+ currencies. At the center of this network is the platform and integration layer that makes every product work — whether it’s delivering payroll in Southeast Asia, collecting from merchants in Europe, or funding accounts in North America. This role provides the backbone that powers all of Nium’s core products, ensuring they function reliably, securely, and at scale across geographies. From enabling real-time partner connections to orchestrating transaction flows behind the scenes, this platform layer is what makes our products interoperable and globally deployable. As we continue to scale transaction volumes and expand coverage, the platform must meet new demands for scalability, observability, predictability, and traceability. We’re hiring a Director or Senior Director of Product to lead this transformation — architecting platform infrastructure, standardizing integrations, and building systems that ensure seamless operation for the world’s most demanding fintech customers. \n Key Responsibilities Platform Capability & Resilience Architect the roadmap to scale throughput across thousands of concurrent partner integrations Lead initiatives to enhance transaction traceability, observability, and self-healing mechanisms Improve operational tooling and auto-resolution of failures, exceptions, and retries Deliver a multi-threaded processing architecture and proactive issue diagnostics Market & Segment Capability Mapping Own a living capability map of what’s live, missing, or underutilized across Nium’s network Define feature expectations by market, segment, and use case (e.g. pay-in, payout, FX routing) Align with commercial and compliance teams to prioritize capability expansion Provide strategic visibility to leadership on coverage vs. opportunity Partner Integration Strategy Develop reusable integration models and templates to reduce engineering lift Standardize onboarding workflows — from Postman collections to sandbox testing protocols Automate partner setup, configuration, and monitoring in collaboration with Engineering Implement playbooks and systems that reduce variability in partner launches Team Leadership Lead a team of PMs and collaborate deeply with Engineering, Ops, and Infrastructure Build a strong culture of systems thinking, customer empathy, and operational rigor Drive cross-functional alignment and accountability for platform outcomes Requirements 12+ years in product management, with at least 5 years leading payment products or payment processing platforms Deep experience scaling high-throughput, always-on transaction systems Familiarity with integrating payment processors, financial institutions, or bank rails Excellent cross-functional leadership with Engineering, Risk, and Ops Ability to balance speed, safety, and scale in roadmap prioritization Experience building and mentoring high-performance product teams \n What we offer at Nium We Value Performance: Through competitive salaries, performance bonuses, sales commissions, equity for specific roles and recognition programs, we ensure that all our employees are well rewarded and incentivized for their hard work.
