Description

WHAT WE DO

We are a consulting firm, working in the areas of technology and finance. Our knowledge extends across a diverse range of fields, including, but not limited to software engineering, manufacturing, agriculture, and other life sciences. We work with many different types of companies, ranging from start-ups to multinational corporations. We work to support companies that are using innovative technology to improve their business, through R&D process improvements and strategic resource planning.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a SR&ED Technical Consultant, you will be working with industry leaders in technology and finance from all over Western Canada. You will be responsible for identifying R&D and preparing clear, well-structured technical reports, giving innovators the opportunity to access government funding under SR&ED guidelines.
For this role, we are especially seeking someone with the ability to write strong technical narratives in the manufacturing sector. You will need to quickly understand how new technologies and processes are being developed in manufacturing, and translate that information into accurate, compliant documentation that supports funding claims.
Applicants should be comfortable engaging with technical experts across a variety of disciplines, asking the right questions to uncover key details, and distilling complex technical content into concise, compliant reports. This is an ideal role for someone with a background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, strong technical writing skills, and a desire to work with innovative companies across Canada. Candidates with previous SR&ED experience—whether in writing reports, reviewing technical eligibility, or working with SR&ED consultants—are strongly encouraged to apply.
Job benefits include corporate medical/dental plan.
This is a full-time permanent employment opportunity.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field
  • Previous SR&ED experience (e.g., writing reports, assessing technical eligibility, or working in SR&ED consulting) is highly preferred
  • 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or industrial technology roles, or in technical writing for manufacturing processes
  • Ability to analyze production methods, process improvements, and experimental trials in a manufacturing context
  • Excellent technical writing skills with the ability to translate complex manufacturing concepts into clear, compliant documentation
  • Strong verbal communication and interviewing skills for engaging with engineers, production managers, and technical staff
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and technical documentation tools (experience with SharePoint an asset)
  • Excellent analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Language of work: English
