BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good physical understanding of electromagnetics.
  • Experience using the EEE certification standards and practices used on civilian/military airplanes
  • Experience with numerical simulation of HIRF and Lightning.
  • Interest in eVTOLs and/or electric aircraft.
  • Experience working with HV systems.

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Responsibilities
  • Perform a Lightning Direct Effects Hazard Assessment on a carbon composite aircraft.
  • Define, plan, execute and document Lightning Direct Effect tests.
  • Support the team for DO-160 qualification and HIRF/Lightning System integrated tests.
  • Support the Airframe EEE protection and Current Return Network designs
  • Review and analyze HIRF/Lightning experimental and numerical simulation model and data.
  • Provide real-time EEE guidance and oversight to Archer and supplier design teams.
  • Perform design changes and non-conformities EEE assessment.
  • Support Archer’s discussions and negotiations with FAA.
  • Contribute as required to the EEE certification plan, requirements and HIRF and Lightning Safety Assessment.
  • Effectively communicate status and risks to leadership and the rest of the team.
