QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline -
  • 5+ years’ experience in detailed full life cycle development
  • Expertise in Mixed Signal design methodologies.
  • Experience in High-Speed design methodologies, DDR PCIe, SI/PI
  • Experience in BMS design - Knowledge of the PCB manufacturing and design process
  • Ability to work in fast paced and challenging environments.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary groups

Responsibilities
  • System Level Design - You will use your electrical and technological expertise to work with and guide domains in their electrical implementation and their component selection of sensors, actuators, video subsystems, and device functional allocations.
  • Requirements Definition - You will be responsible for decomposing functional requirements into system architectures, and eventual component requirements and circuit level decisions.
  • Detailed Component Design - You will create complete electronic modules from the ground up to Rivian Standards.
  • You will work with a multidisciplinary group to specify and design the main ADAS compute module to work reliably long term in harsh automotive environments.
  • You will be melding commercial and automotive design methodologies to balance thermal design, compute performance, and reliability.
  • You will work with packaging engineers and CAE engineers to ensure your design meets all space allocation, physical durability, and endurance requirements. You will be performing full design documentation, including failure analysis, WCCA, derating analysis, and test reports.
  • Software and Systems Integration - You will work with software groups to define hardware level software requirements.
  • You will work with software engineers, integration engineers, and release engineers to ensure that software functions correctly at all levels of the stack, on the bench, and in the system.
  • Test and Validation - You will work with Test and Validation engineers to ensure your component is tested to the rigorous standards set by Rivian.
  • You will be responsible for making sure your design passes design standards and will be troubleshooting and resolving any failures during the validation process.
  • Mass Production - You will work with our Contract Manufacturer to ensure their PFMEA is completed and all KPIs are met to ensure our designs are producible in volume.
  • You will aide in the troubleshooting of any Manufacturing issues.
