Description
Key Responsibilities * Lead the design and development of electrical and electronic systems for HVAC machines, including screw chillers and thermal products. * Prepare, review, and approve electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, interlock logic, and BOMs. * Select and integrate electrical and electronic components such as VFDs, controllers, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, protection devices, and safety components. * Lead and support PLC and HMI programming activities, including control logic review, I/O allocation, tag mapping, alarm handling, and parameter optimization. * Drive BMS integration (BACnet / Modbus or equivalent), including points list definition, signal mapping, validation, and coordination with site/BMS teams. * Support control philosophy development and close integration of electrical systems with controls and embedded software. * Drive design validation testing (DVT), dry testing, performance testing, and troubleshooting in lab and factory environments. * Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for electrical and controls‑related issues identified during testing or field operation. * Support commissioning, field issues, and service escalations related to electrical, controls, and automation systems. * Coordinate with Mechanical, Software, Product Management, QA, Sourcing, and Service teams to ensure successful product execution. * Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards, safety norms, cybersecurity guidelines (where applicable), and regulatory requirements. * Support component localization, alternate sourcing, and cost optimization initiatives without compromising performance or reliability. * Provide technical guidance, reviews, and mentoring to junior engineers and team members. Required Skills & Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent). * 6–10 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in HVAC, industrial machinery, or automation systems. * Strong machine‑level experience with HVAC systems, particularly screw chiller machines and thermal products. * Deep knowledge of industrial electrical systems, power distribution, control panels, safety circuits, and VFD applications. * Solid working experience with PLC and HMI programming in industrial or HVAC applications. * Proven exposure to BMS integration using standard industrial protocols such as BACnet and Modbus. * Working knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, Structured Text (ST), and Function Block Diagram (FBD); ability to review logic and coordinate with software teams. * Hands‑on experience in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting complex HVAC and automation systems. * Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, control schematics, functional descriptions, and technical specifications. * Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and team‑leadership skills.   Work Authorization No calls or agencies please.
