JOB SUMMARY

As a Senior Electronics Engineer II, you will be a part of the R&D engineering team, directly contributing to the design and implementation of the instrumentation for the electronic hardware utilized in our medical devices.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 8 years of industry experience with product-level development
  • Ability to articulate problems and solutions
  • Good communicator with cross-functional team members (ME, SW, PMO)
  • Familiar with product development cycle (concept-to-production)
  • Ability to describe electrical systems in a block diagram format and also dive into details of each functional block
  • Experience with designing and troubleshooting Analog circuits
  • Developing code using C for embedded systems for board bring-up
  • Experience with embedded firmware development using ST, Nordic, Atmel, Renesas, or other 32-bit ARM processors
  • Experience with schematic capture tools: PADS, OrCAD, Altium
  • Experience with electrical simulation software tools: Multisim, PSPICE, TINA
  • Basic knowledge of communication protocols (I2C, UART, SPI, USB)
  • Experience with either overseeing or designing PCB layout
  • Able to generate design-related documentation for project deliverables
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a Master’s Degree with at least 5 years of experience
  • Ability to work onsite Monday - Friday in Irvine, CA

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with designing for compliance to IEC 60601-1
  • RF Design/Testing experience
  • Medical device or biomedical device background
  • Experience with integrating radio solutions in the BLE, WiFi spectrum
  • Experience in designing for EMC compliance and troubleshooting EMC problems
  • Experience in developing products in a regulated environment (Avionics, Space, DoD)
  • Experience with electrical design for wearable electronics
  • Multi-domain troubleshooting in Analog, Digital, and RF portions of designs
  • Basic experience with Matlab
  • Experience with designing for Signal Integrity
  • Experience in interfacing to sensors (Pressure, temperature, humidity)
  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Design ownership and oversee the engineering life cycle of hardware including architecture, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance
