POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Engineer’s purpose is to solve technical problems, develop applicable documentation, and supervise all assigned resources to support the assigned project. The Senior Structural Engineer assists the Class Design Service group in determining the technical requirements of the project, defining resource requirements to achieve schedule and budget commitments, and solving technical issues as they arise within the field of competence.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Engineer also demonstrates leadership skills that align with the mission, vision, and values of the Company. The Senior Engineer may directly mentor or supervise 2 to 10 employees. Mentoring and supervisory responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with the Company’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws. An Engineer II may be included with interviewing potential new team members and training employees. With supervising, this may include planning, assigning, and directing work of assigned individuals, participating in the appraising performance, addressing complaints with development opportunities, and resolving problems.
