Job Title: Senior Engineer - RISC Location(s): Irvine, CA - Onsite Compensation: $100,000-120,000 About this position: Advantech is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with a focus on RISC-based computing platforms. This role combines hands-on circuit design support, system validation, and customer-facing technical support. This role is well suited for an engineer who demonstrates initiative, effectively manages competing priorities, and can identify and resolve issues during product validation. Responsibilities: * Support the integration, design, and validation of system architectures, interfaces, and electrical circuits for RISC-based embedded computing platforms. * Collaborate with software and firmware developers throughout system development * Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including feasibility testing, data measurements, technical responses to customer bids, RMA verification, and on-site technical training * Assess customer technical requirements, develop solutions, perform system testing, and support installation in customer environments * Build hardware and software demonstration prototypes to support sales and marketing efforts, including rapid prototyping and system integration * Address field issues and coordinate with field sales personnel * Ability to occasionally lift and carry moderate-weight equipment and work for extended periods while sitting, standing, or walking, with or without reasonable accommodation.
