The Senior Site Reliability Engineer at T-Mobile plays a crucial role in enhancing system reliability and resilience, facilitating faster and more efficient software development and deployment. They will be an integral part of Digital Commerce Domain that supports almost all T-Mobile’s critical commerce path supporting APIs. They apply their strong problem-solving and analytical skills to automate processes, reducing manual effort and preventing operational incidents. Their expertise in programming and scripting languages, incident response management, and various tech tools contributes to the robustness and efficiency of our systems. Job Responsibilities Job Responsibilities: Improves system reliability and resilience by identifying potential issues and implementing preventive measures Expertise in supporting high availability environments maintaining near zero downtime using AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, AWS and Active MQ Experience on Digital Commerce Platform critical to purchase path providing API support for device launches, monitor alerts, validate postman (API responses, test orders), support releases, incident management, Telemetry configurations and defect fixes. Facilitates faster and more efficient software development and deployment by automating processes and reducing manual effort Root Cause Analysis (RCA) review/participation to identify system issues and prevent incident recurrence, collaborating with Problem Management teams on Corrective and Preventive actions to enhance system reliability and performance, and identifying and prioritizing items for the Core SRE backlog to ensure continuous improvement in system operations and stability. Prevents operational incidents by applying strong problem-solving and analytical skills Contributes to the robustness and efficiency of systems by maximising expertise in programming and scripting languages, incident response management, and various tech tools Adapts and drives innovation by continuously learning new skills and technologies Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Engineering or related field (Required) Master's/Advanced Degree Computer Science, Engineering or related field (Preferred) 4-7 years Working in operations or development environments Required 4-7 years Troubleshooting customer related issues and managing customer relationships Required 4-7 years Developing software solutions using Python or similar programming languages Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Programming Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python and Bash. (Required) Automation Ability to automate processes and reduce manual effort. (Required) Incident Management Understanding of incident response management and operational support. (Required) Platform Monitoring using Splunk, AppDynamics, AWS and Grafana (Required) Experience with crafting and maintaining CICD Pipelines. (Preferred) Certified Kubernetes Administrator This certification validates the skills required for day-to-day administration of Kubernetes environments. (Preferred) Google Cloud Certified - Professional DevOps Engineer This certification validates the ability to efficiently develop and deploy applications using Google Cloud technologies and to manage operations. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role.
