MINIMUM EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree, in computer science, engineering, information systems and/or equivalent formal.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

Five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirement.

• Work with initiative owners, business architects and domain architects to analyze and decompose the initiative request into workable epics aligned with enterprise strategic business and technical goals.
• Part of a central architecture organization for largest portfolio at FedEx supporting systems for all global operations. Architect key initiatives for the organization to drive business value.
• Responsible for translating business needs into architectural solutions (current and target state) and defining solutions to business problems through application of information technology
• Help drive future state for applications/systems.
• Work with other architects across the enterprise to provide enterprise business solutions
• Determine integrated architecture solutions that meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security need
• Deep knowledge of Azure cloud platform and its offerings, especially Azure Functions, Azure App Service, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Event Hubs, and Azure Cosmos DB
• Advanced experience with Enterprise Architecture tools like LeanIX, Sparx EA
• Experience with cloud security best practices
• Expertise in common event processing stack like Kafka, Flink etc.
• Lead establishment/implementation of standards/guidelines that drive the design of technology solutions including architecting/implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple and emerging platforms, operating systems/applications across the enterprise
• Track industry trends/maintains knowledge of new tech
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines (Git, Azure DevOps)
• Experience with API design and development (REST, GraphQL)
• Understanding of data modeling, database design, and query optimization
• Experience with serverless computing and low-code platforms
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
• Responsible for offering architectural guidance and reviews of strategic implementations
• Work with other architects across the enterprise to provide enterprise business solutions
