Description

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Enterprise Architect-Network Security to join an established healthcare organization. This position is REMOTE (must reside in PA, NJ, or DE - candidates should be within driving distance of Philadelphia, PA - will require you to be able to commute for occasional in-person meetings). This is a high-impact, director-level enterprise architect role focused exclusively on network security architecture.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT, with 5+ years in network security architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of networking components: routers, switches, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-level security programs and working across multiple teams.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • CCIE and/or CCNP certification strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; Master’s degree is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in network security, overseeing architecture efforts across routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and related infrastructure.
  • Lead the end-to-end network security program, including risk assessments, gap analyses, solution planning, and roadmap development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, operations, engineering, and external vendors to ensure alignment on security strategy and execution.
  • Develop and maintain strategic security roadmaps and architectural standards.
  • Drive vendor engagement, technical calls, and planning sessions for all network security initiatives.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to leadership (reporting directly to Faisal), influencing enterprise security posture.
  • Work closely with an operations and engineering team for execution support. This is not a hands-on technical role but requires deep technical understanding.
