We’re looking for a Senior Evaluation Professional Nurse to join our team! As a Senior Professional Evaluation Nurse, you are an essential member of the care delivery team. You will set the standards for high‑quality nursing care and hold responsibility, authority, and accountability for the care you provide. You use independent judgment, clear communication, and collaboration with all team members to manage and deliver patient care for a group of patients and their families. In this role, you lead, partner, collaborate, and provide supervision as needed. You build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, other healthcare providers, patients, and families to support positive outcomes throughout the continuum of care. You demonstrate commitment to both the community and the nursing profession. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team—including prescribers, therapists, techs, and crisis workers—to support underserved individuals in the community with mental health and drug and alcohol needs within an 8‑bed unit. Key Information: Must have active licensure as an RN in the state of PA Minimum 2 years' experience required Location: 1330 West 26th Street, Erie PA Schedule: Part-time, 8-12-hour shifts Dress Code: Business Casual Parking: Free parking on site Responsibilities: Leads through clinical expertise, teaching, evidence-based practice, and shared governance. Drives quality and innovation using evidence-based improvements. Grows others through precepting, feedback, and ongoing learning. The individual must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and/or interact appropriately to the ages of the patients served by his/her assigned unit as specified below. Must obtain a Solid/Strong/Good or higher on a Professional Staff Nurse Performance Evaluation to be promoted to this level (Internal applicants). Must maintain a Solid/Strong/Good or higher on annual performance evaluation to maintain status. Annual completion of a VP approved professional contribution selected from one of the corporate nursing goals. Minimum 2 years' experience. BSN preferred. Annual completion of 2 professional contributions selected from department, hospital or system goals, and approved by Unit Director OR certification and 1 professional contribution selected from department, hospital or system goals, and approved by Unit Director as set forth through UPMC's My Nursing Career Ladder. Certification not required if master's in nursing or DNP is held. If a BSN is held, a master's degree in a related field may be substituted in lieu of Certification. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse. UPMC approved nursing certification required. Must maintain certification status. Certification not required if master's in nursing is held CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC) Registered Nurse (RN) Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal Act 33 with renewal Act 34 with renewal Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal *Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state. Responsibilities
This role involves setting standards for high-quality nursing care, holding responsibility and accountability for patient care, and managing care delivery for assigned patients and their families through independent judgment and collaboration.
