This role is essential for the marketing and underwriting of the Surety portfolio. The successful candidate will establish strong broker relationships, manage a significant account portfolio, and underwrite profitable business. The position offers the opportunity to leverage your expertise while contributing to the overall success of the organization. \n Accountabilities Develop and execute a strategic business plan to expand the Surety business in the region. Build and manage a profitable portfolio of Surety business through strong broker relationships. Document decisions and recommendations transparently and consistently. Establish and maintain key relationships while building a nationally-focused book. Conduct account and portfolio underwriting activities in line with established guidelines. Collaborate with colleagues across regions to leverage Surety capabilities. Coordinate with global teams to ensure alignment on risk and underwriting issues. Participate actively in industry groups and events. Requirements Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or finance. 7+ years of experience in the industry, primarily as an underwriter. Strong knowledge of contract surety and U.S. surety market. Entrepreneurial mindset with goal achievement skills. Proven ability to develop robust relationships with brokers. Experience managing marketing plans and business budgets. Knowledge of surety distribution channels and broker management. Expertise in underwriting contract surety accounts and risks. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent attention to detail. Strong management and interpersonal skills to work in a team. Superior communication skills for market presence.
