Job Description: This position is set for failure analysis engineers to resolve IC issue when IC development and production. The major responsibility of FA is using various EFA (electrical failure analysis), PFA (physical failure analysis) tools and your own semiconductor device, circuits and process knowledge to dig out the root cause of failed IC. Essential Functions: Understanding our production function, bench test for failure mode verification. Using various FA technology to dig out the root cause of failed IC based on your own semiconductor circuit/device/process knowledge in university. Completed professional FA report and explain the FA analysis process/results to internal production line/customer. Works with designer, factory and customer to identify the root cause and follow up corrective action or DOE plan verification supporting. Further study advance IC knowledge which includes new circuits, new topology, new package knowledge, et.al. Further study new failure analysis technology to improve our FA capability. Provide strong supports for other groups and customers in a timely manner. Actively participates in working groups, providing ideas and helping to resolve product issues. Perform other jobs assigned by supervisor/manager. Qualifications: MS in Electrical Electronic Engineering, Micro-Electronic. Basic knowledge of analog/digital circuits, such as voltage regulator, op-amp, and basic CMOS circuits, SR latch, D-flip, et.al. Basic knowledge of device physics, IC manufacture process. Assembly process and bumping process knowledge is a plus. Familiar with word, excel and PPT edition. Good logic for problem solving and schedule organization. Self motivated, strong ability for teamwork. Good communications skills for both verbal and writing in English. Monolithic Power Systems, Inc.
