Currently, we are seeking a Sr. Field Application Engineer with at least 7 years of experience to support the Brazilian region. Responsibilities Serve as the primary technical advisor for telematics customers throughout the pre-sales and deployment lifecycle. Support pre-sales engagements including solution architecture, product demonstrations, and technical workshops. Translate customer fleet operational requirements into scalable telematics solutions. Provide post-sales technical support and guidance during device integration, and production rollouts. Translate customer fleet operational requirements into scalable telematics solutions. Lead technical validation and integration of telematics devices within customer vehicle platforms. Support CAN bus analysis, vehicle protocol mapping, and data validation. Provide structured feedback from customers to influence product roadmap and feature development. Support debugging and root cause analysis of firmware, hardware, and platform issues. Participate in early adopter programs, firmware validation, and beta testing. Support LATAM market expansion by aligning global product capabilities with regional vehicle ecosystems. Conduct field testing of new telematics devices and firmware, and new features to validate region functionality. Qualifications Must Haves College Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related technical field. 7+ years of experience in telematics, IoT, automotive electronics, or embedded systems. Experience supporting field deployments of connected vehicle or fleet management solutions. Understanding of cellular communication technologies (4G LTE, and 2G). Hands-on experience with vehicle communication protocols (CAN bus, OBD, J1939, J1708). Strong troubleshooting experience across hardware, firmware, and cloud-connected systems. Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities. Familiarity with cloud-connected platforms and APIs. Languages: Portuguese – Native or Fluent English – Professional working proficiency. Strong Pluses Experience with CalAmp or similar telematics hardware ecosystems. Hands-on experience with PEG scripting or embedded telematics firmware customization. Experience performing CAN reverse engineering using tools such as Vector CANalyzer or similar tools. Experience supporting vehicle immobilization, remote access, or BLE-based vehicle control solutions. Background working in Latin America telematics markets.
