Description

SUMMARY

The Senior Field Service Technician is responsible for providing problem solving and support in the installation of on-site water purification systems both domestically and internationally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manages sub-contractors and assists with the installation of on-site water purification systems.
  • Provides customer service and schedule installations and warranty repairs.
  • Diagnoses system operation and or mechanical problems and provides problem resolution to assure product quality assurance and quality control.
  • Recommends proper procedures in dismantling of a customer’s equipment in a safe and professional manner.
  • Provides training to customers and in-house staff.
  • Controls and monitors service cost and schedules to meet contractual commitments as much as possible.
  • Provides inspections and sign-off of proper installation of equipment.
  • Writes field service work-orders and maintains records of field directed changes to the installation of equipment for billing purposes.
  • Maintains accurate purchase, inventory, and installation records.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, technical manuals, and diagrams.
  • Responds to after-hours callouts as required.
  • Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of mechanical installation, including but not limited to water softeners, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and PLC/HMI software.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
  • Operation of specialty tools, gauges and meters required for monitoring and testing systems, including chemical test kits.
  • Domestic and international travel experience

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

BS in Engineering or equivalent work experience and 7-10 years’ experience in installation of mechanical and electrical equipment, engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
