POSITION SUMMARY:

Coordinate operations, forecast, report data, collaborate with leadership, and develop strategies for financial goals.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance (CPA and/or MBA preferred); equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
  • 8+ years of professional experience in the finance/accounting fields
  • Ability to navigate and influence in a matrix organization
  • Strong leadership, problem solving, and a team first mentality
  • Systems experience preferred, including, but not limited to: EDW, Hyperion Planning, CMR
  • Knowledge of PowerBI or Business Intelligence Tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interpret and summarize financial analysis results in a clear, concise, and accurate manner
  • Demonstrates strong business insight

Responsibilities
  • FP&A lead for Cell Biology with ownership for operating mechanisms including STRAP, AOP, and Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations for Cell & Gene Therapy and Protein Expression and Delivery teams to meet objectives and strategies.
  • Collaborate with the product management and R&D teams to develop a strong product pipeline to improve growth and profitability
  • Responsible for managing the P&L and cash flow with a focus on predictability, timely execution of project spending and balancing risks and opportunities
  • Lead analysis of return on investment within the BU and craft financial scenarios and models to support decision-making on capital deployment
  • Show leadership in FP&A by providing timely, accurate, and valuable information
  • Lead the implementation of the business unit’s data strategy to provide users with meaningful information to drive decision making
  • Drive a continuous improvement approach with a focus on automation, process improvement, and elevating business partner support where applicable
  • Liaise with Division FP&A and Systems team to drive reporting integrity and accuracy
  • Develop, coach, and provide leadership to direct report as well as others in the business and function
  • Foster a culture of diversity and inclusion and be a role model leader for the core set of values in the organization: integrity, intensity, innovation, and involvement
  • Support other initiatives, special projects, requests and ad-hoc financial analysis as required
