We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to help scale our financial operations, build robust reporting and forecasting tools, and delivery strategic analyses that shape the company’s future. The role will report to the Senior Finance Manager and work closely with the Director of FP&A and CFO in crafting and executing on BrightFarm’s financial strategy and operations. About The Role We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to help scale our financial operations, build robust reporting and forecasting tools, and deliver strategic analyses that shape the company’s future. The role will report to the Senior Finance Manager and work closely with the Senior Director of FP&A and CFO to help craft and support execution of BrightFarms’ financial strategy and operations. Specifically, you will: * Own and build reporting and forecasting materials for monthly business reviews and board presentations * Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting process across functional stakeholders * Deliver actionable insights on budget vs. actual performance, highlighting key drivers, risks, and opportunities for senior leadership decision-making * Perform detailed variance analysis (budget vs. actual vs. forecast), including root-cause drivers and forward-looking implications * Partner with Accounting during month-end close to ensure accurate financial reporting and support scalable billing and invoicing processes * Translate business strategy into financial models, KPIs, and measurable targets to drive long-term growth and profitability * Build and maintain dynamic financial models for current and future greenhouse operations, including labor planning, yield optimization, and operating cost modeling The ideal candidate: * 3+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, equity research, private equity, hedge fund, investment banking, corporate finance, or related role * Strong foundational knowledge of corporate accounting (e.g. cash vs accrual, etc.) * Proven ability to build & interpret 3-statement financial models * Advanced Excel proficiency, including experience working with large datasets, complex modeling, and scenario analysis * Robust analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills * Strong cross-functional communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders  * First-principles thinker: Able to break down ambiguous problems, challenge assumptions, and build data-driven solutions quickly Preferred qualifications: * Experience with NetSuite and Bill.com * Familiarity with BI or data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) * Experience in CPG, agriculture, or growth-stage businesses a plus * Genuine interest for sustainable agriculture Come grow with us - the future is BRIGHT!   BrightFarms is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer - All qualified applicants/employees will receive consideration for employment without regard to that individual’s age, race, color, religion or creed, national origin or ancestry, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, physical or mental disability, veteran status, genetic information, ethnicity, citizenship, or any other characteristic protected by law.
