Job Description This position is a hybrid role, with the work location being our Chicago, IL office and your home office. Responsible for day-to-day activities performed in the Corporate Accounting department. The Senior Financial Analyst maintains quality standards set by Management and presents ideas and recommends changes to improve efficiency. Responsibilities: Assist in the consolidation of multiple reporting units within the United States and International Assist in the consolidation of multiple reporting units within the United States and International locations across multiple currencies Assist in the Company’s consolidated monthly close, including the preparation of the Company’s monthly financial reporting package in accordance with US GAAP and RRD policy Assist in the preparation of the quarterly and annual financial statements for external stakeholders, including preparing/reviewing supporting documentation and reviewing disclosure requirements Utilize HFM and SAP systems to record journal entries, extract data and perform analytics. Maintain an understanding of current dimensions in HFM Assist in preparing or reviewing key Corporate Accounting areas such as foreign currency adjustments, pension accounting adjustments, commitments & contingencies, assets held-for-sale, intercompany transactions, and internal management reporting. In addition, assist in the preparation of Corporate Segment financial statements Collaborate with Business Unit Finance, Internal Audit, Corporate departments (Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, Legal, HR, etc.), external auditors, the Company’s shared service centers and other key members of the Corporate Controller’s group Provide analysis and insight for other assignments and ad hoc projects as needed, including acquisitions, integration, restructuring activities, impairment analysis, audit committee presentations and other requests from senior management Assist in updating, interpreting, and implementing accounting policies and newly issued accounting pronouncements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred) or Finance is required A minimum of 5 years of related work experience at a large, multinational corporation or a public accounting firm Excellent problem solving, communication, interpersonal, analytical and time management skills required Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities and deadlines, with attention to detail and an ability to work both independently and in a team environment Strong technical and analytical skills required CPA preferred Prior consolidation and/or SEC reporting experience preferred HFM, SAP, and/or Essbase experience preferred Additional Information RRD's current salary range for this role is $90,800 to $145,400 / year. The salary range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future. At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
