As the Sr. Financial Planner, you will be working closely with the Wealth Advisors & Financial Advisors to design and develop financial planning analysis for presentation to clients. You will utilize financial planning software to number crunch and design plans. This is a hybrid role but is driven by client meetings. (Tues/Wed/Thur on site).

How you’ll spend your time:

• You will be primarily focused on servicing high value family client segments as a client-facing Wealth Planner.
• You will serve as a senior mentor for other financial planners on the team; regularly provides guidance and feedback on financial planning best practices.
• You will act as a point of escalation within the team for resolving time sensitive client inquiries and handing complex client advice topics.
• You will work collaboratively with other functions in Private Wealth to resolve escalations and complete special projects.
• You will serve as the main financial planning point of contact for clients.
• You will be responsible for managing day to day client financial planning interactions, supporting wealth advisors across client advice topics.
• You will ensure clients have a positive financial planning experience that always exceeds their expectations.
• You will stay current on all tax rules, laws and regulations that could financially impact UMB clients.
• You will build and maintain client relationships aimed at client retention and engagement.
• You will be intimately involved in the new client prospect and onboarding process, partnering with client service to ensure client setup in eMoney.
• You will maintain and update Salesforce CRM and eMoney for all financial planning activities.
• You will manage client paperwork and electronic data files for all financial planning relationships.
• You will understand the client’s overall business needs and help identify value-added services that Private Wealth can provide.
• You will review activities within the job scope for sufficient controls to prevent errors, breaches of client confidentiality, and misstatements of financial planning recommendations.
• You will assist Wealth Advisors and other associates with planning related questions.
• You will ensure adherence to corporate policy, operational policy, and regulatory guidance.

We’re excited to talk to you if:

• You possess a bachelor’s degree in relevant field or combination of education and experience that provides and equivalent background.
• You have 5+ years of applicable experience within Financial Services.
• You hold the CFP or in pursuit of.
• You have a good understanding of financial services financial planning frameworks and concepts.
• You are able to balance a client experience mindset when managing and controlling business risks.
• You have experience in supporting financial planning data collection, entry, and process.
• You have general knowledge of compliance rules and regulations within wealth management.
• You have effective financial research skills.
• You have worked in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• You have worked with eMoney client portal and financial planning software.

Bonus points if:

• You hold CFP or advanced designation.
• You are FINRA Series 65 licensed.
• You have Holistiplan and/or Vanilla planning experience.

Compensation Range:
$83,200.00 - $178,800.00
