Job Description Position Overview: The Senior Financial System Analyst, Programming Accounting will serve as key member of the Controllership Group within the TV Networks Group at Versant Media. The TV Networks Group includes the best brands in the industry, including MSNBC, CNBC, E!, Oxygen, SyFy, USA Network and various sports properties that air on these networks. This role provides an outstanding opportunity to learn about the entertainment businesses and be a change agent. The position will report to the Manager, Programming Accounting and will work closely with finance leadership across the group. Key Responsibilities: Manage key programming accounting data elements across key systems used for Versant’s TV Networks (E!, Oxygen, Syfy & USA) Create and process programming POs, invoices and related payments Set-up new vendors and process changes/updates to vendor profiles Work with Legal to setup new contracts in programming system Cash tracking/tie-outs between GL and expense tracking file for Pacing/Estimates/Close Ensure transactions are properly recorded, supported, and documented in accordance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and internal controls Assist in monthly and quarterly financial close processes by delivering timely and accurate accounting outputs for content-related accounts Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance activities by maintaining and updating control documentation and supporting audit requests Help coordinate and prepare materials for both internal and external audits related to content accounting activities Support preparation and delivery of regular and ad hoc reporting packages for management review Collaborate with the Controllership and IT teams to support system enhancements, including content amortization tools and automation initiatives Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and contribute to maintaining a strong ins Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or a related field Minimum of 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance or contract administration Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills. High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and transparency. Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Subject to change based on Manager discussion or business need.
