Overview:
Control Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of complex commercial low voltage projects, with a strong emphasis on fire alarm systems, VESDA, BIM coordination, and structured cabling including fiber optics and pathways/conduit infrastructure. In this role, you will be directly responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, and scheduling the execution of projects, as well as overseeing field personnel and managing budgets. You will ensure the successful delivery of projects in alignment with code requirements and customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all phases of fire life safety system installations, including VESDA, fiber optic networks, conduit routing, and low voltage systems across commercial and multifamily construction projects.
  • Oversee full project lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring project milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Manage procurement and logistics, including equipment delivery, material acquisition, and vendor coordination to maintain workflow and prevent schedule delays.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating manpower, subcontractors, and inspections to meet critical deadlines.
  • Ensure installations comply with all applicable building codes, NFPA standards, and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Interpret and coordinate BIM models with other trades for optimal routing of conduit, cable trays, and device placement; resolve field clashes and constructability issues.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, code officials, and engineers; facilitate communication and decision-making across all stakeholders.
  • Lead and document job walks, preconstruction meetings, progress check-ins, and AHJ inspections, ensuring transparency and accountability at each stage.
  • Review and manage project scope, construction drawings, submittals, shop drawings, and specifications; work closely with engineering teams to ensure design intent aligns with field conditions.
  • Track and control project budgets, develop schedule of values, manage monthly billing, and monitor job costing to maintain financial health of the project.
  • Identify, document, and negotiate change orders, proactively managing scope creep and minimizing project risk.
  • Provide field leadership and direction to crews, ensuring safety, quality control, and adherence to project goals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fire alarm and low voltage system project management
