Opportunity: Become part of a young and international Finance team, in a fast moving tech Company operating worldwide. Cerence AI is looking for a senior GL accountant, internationally oriented but with a focus on our Italian and French entities. You will be involved in a broad spectrum of accounting activities, including performing US GAAP month end closes, assisting with the preparation of local tax returns and assisting with statutory financial statements and audit work. Candidates are detail-oriented, have strong analytical skills and the drive to improve financial processes. Cerence AI offers highly competitive remuneration and benefits. Daily functions / responsibilities:

  • Creating and posting of Payroll journals
  • Execute regular payments and handling bank transactions
  • VAT reporting/filing
  • Accrual accounting
  • Monthly flux analyses
  • Creating Month-end, Quarter-end and year-end closings to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Creating quarterly Intercompany cross-charges
  • Assist in preparing Annual accounts and prepare documents / analyses for Annual audits
  • Budget coordinator for Global International entities for professional services accruals
  • Reconciliation of General ledger and subledgers
  • Detailed account reconciliations
  • Other project related activities
  • Identify and propose process optimizations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor in accounting
  • 3+ years experience in GL accounting
  • International experience
  • Very good knowledge of English required (other languages can be helpful)
  • Excel (Pivots, Lookup formula’s, large data handling)
  • High analytical skills
  • Good communication skills and team player
