Job Description: Nextpower is looking for a Sr. Geotechnical Engineer to join the Project Engineering Team in Brazil. Working directly with key accounts located throughout Latin and South America to manage day to day issues on utility scale PV projects from the development stage to construction support. The position will manage all decisions relating to Geotechnical Engineering for Nextpower’s projects including but not limited to analyzing geotechnical reports, foundation design, pile load testing, soil corrosion analysis, and various other geotechnical engineering tasks and decisions to support project quoting and calculation packages. Further this position will be interfacing with engineering teams located in the US, Mexico, Spain, and India as well as Sales, Project Management, and R&D teams at Nextpower’s offices around the world. Responsibilities: Analyzing Geotechnical Reports, Corrosion Analysis, and Soil Risk Analysis for tracker foundations; Assist in project development phase; review pertinent site information, calculations, and cost estimation; Review Geotechnical reports and recommend design parameters; Calculate skin friction, end bearing and lateral resistance from Geotechnical reports; Occasional site visit to supervise Geotechnical investigations and pile load testing; Prepare foundation calculations, drawings, and stamp when necessary; Provide construction support by responding RFIs and submittals; Assist in development of Nextracker products, generate full understanding of the Nextpower product; Coordinate with Nextracker's Structural/Geotechnical Engineers in other regions to create and update structural and civil standards, specifications, templates, and design tools; Manage, schedule and review third party engineering works; Assist in development of expanding Nextpower Design Services team; Ability to travel, domestically and internationally as needed. Required Skills/Experiences: BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent; MS in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred; Proven experience (2+ years) in the solar industry; Strong technical acumen and understanding of engineering standards, codes, and other applicable state and federal guidelines including but not limited to NBR, ASCE, Eurocode, and more; Proficiency in Lpile Software; Programming languages VBA / Python; 5 years of Geotechnical Engineering work experience in the EPC industry; Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and other relevant Geotechnical software; Fluent in English, Spanish is a plus; Passion for solar/renewables industry. Responsibilities

This role involves managing all Geotechnical Engineering decisions for utility-scale PV projects in Latin and South America, from development through construction support, including analyzing reports and designing foundations. Key tasks include calculating soil parameters, preparing foundation drawings, providing construction support via RFIs, and coordinating structural/civil standards updates with international engineering teams.
